Oi...I could do pushups, pullups, and squats until the cows come home but running 2 miles...just the thought of that has me wetting my shorts! Hats off to those who can distance run!

At 42, completed my first "Murph" yesterday. I've been out of the military for almost 10 years & every year thought I'd really like to do that someday...yesterday was finally that day & I'm setting goals for next years! Never Foget, Live Well....

Congratulations Joe!! I've just begun my "Couch to the Murph." I thought it would be a great goal to work toward, and eventually accomplish. Unlike you, I have a few barriers; I'm COMPLETELY out of shape but have no injuries, I retired from the military five years ago after serving 35 years and, (drum roll) I'm 60 years old. I do have one good thing going for me and that is I don't have any time or date to train towards to reach the goal of accomplishing the Murph. I'll get there when I get there. I do have one question for you though; I've searched high and low to find a proverbial step by step guide for training for the Murph, starting from scratch. Have you run across anything that might help? Again, congrats Joe! Bill
