Grant it I agree many Crossfitters are not as efficient in Olympic lifts as Olympic Lifters. However take an honest look at Froning's form he is very competitive with the Olympic Lifters in form and weight at his weight class. Many CF'ers who compete do not use main site (crossfit.com) Many will use what is called the outlaw way. Which is very effective. Stimulating muscles sounds good but it is not practical to real life. I've never in a stressful environment done a bicep curl in the form of a preacher curl nor have I ever butterflied any device in a real world setting. But I've definitely cleaned someone on my shoulders and moved him. If you really want to stimulate muscles why not go for Powerlifting, Olympic Lifting, or Strongman competitions as a sport?
