Life expectancy for Paleolithic man had to do with the dangers in his life, not his diet. His diet was perfect for his blood type, which was O. The mutation of bloodtype A came along during the Agricultural revolution. A's do better on cultivated foods, which is why they thrived through that revolution. Had agriculture not taken hold, A's would have died out as a result of natural selection.
