Whey is just food but it does break down faster then actual food plus it's fast. You can still use fruit as a pre workout or anything plus it's lean. It's doesn't have to be this whey, it can be any whey, see what I did there. I use Syntha 6 and Soy Protein.

Are people even doing the math here? Let's think about what making a meal costs you: 1 steak or salmon is around 6 bucks, some fresh veggies a couple bucks...so maybe 8 bucks. One shake with 2 scoops divided by the cost of the bag is about 2 dollars total. Now calculate how much time it takes to shop the grocery store, then prepare the food in comparison to making a shake in 30 seconds. It completely makes sense. I personally however could never do more than 2 shakes a day, but only because I love food too much. But all in all, his reasoning is very sound.

@xxMrPositivexx I eat raisin bran, milk, banana, 2 eggs, garlic, pepper, whole grain bread, peanut butter, cod liver oil, cottage cheese, and veggies (not all at same time) throughout my day. my daily food cost is $6. I take no unnecessary supplements and only take a multivitamin. I know its $6 because I only spend $185 on food every month. What you just wrote, is $310 a month. Whey and such are highly processed btw. nothing I eat except for the multivitamin is processed. I cook all my food (although, i only cook once to steam veggies). I spend almost half what you wrote every month and I guarantee my nutrition is far better.
