hurt my shoulder doing upright rows (with good form, reasonable weight, and slow pace). my advice: find another exercise

Marcus, I usually use a kettlebell or a 45 plate so the grip would be narrow. I haven't had any shoulder issues thus far so the narrow grip may be a factor.

SATXcyclist personnaly I only do these with a wide grip, when I dit these with a narrow grip I felt like it was hurting my shoulder. Now I do these with a wide grip and I think this is more confortable for the shoulder because of the position of your arms, the elbow is at the same height as the delts and the range of motion is shorter, but this is just my feeling =) my best friend prefers narrow grip and never had delts pain Anyway if you feel unconfortable with any exercise just don't do it, there are alternatives.
