Monsterdew, I feel like the concept of arching your back while pressing is often misunderstood. I see many lifters in the gym arching their entire body to complete a lift that is too heavy - they practically bounce their tailbone up off the bench and thrust the weight up. This is a good way to injure yourself. Always keep the tailbone stationary on the bench, but arching between the shoulder blades and tailbone is okay. Hope this helps!
