no it wouldn't, u need to build up your heart rate, that means u need to start at low intensity

You can do HIIT but at your level. That is the beauty of it. You should push yourself but also know your limit and when to stop. If ever feeling discomfort or pain STOP!. And as always, consult physician before starting any exercise program.
